SUPERMAN'S CONCERT
The final movements of composer Michael Daugherty's Metropolis Symphony will be performed by the Quad City Symphony Orchestra.
"Red Cape Tango" relives Superman's cataclysmic showdown with the arch-villain Doomsday which led to the famous comic book death of the Man of Steel in the early 1990s.
The concerts will also feature composer John Williams' love theme "Across the Stars" from "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones" as well as early 20th century composer Gustav Holst's "The Planets" which will feature seven movements that have been timed to gorgeous celestial footage, original archival recreations from Chicago's Adler Planetarium, and NASA's Hubble Telescope by filmmaker Jose Salgado.
